Against The Wind

First Aired in 1978

Set in Ireland and Australia. In 1798 both Mary Mulvane and fellow convict Jonathan Garrett are shipped off to the Penal Colony of New South Wales under the oppression of the English Military. A mix of love story and incidents based on fact - ie. the convict uprising at Castle Hill (Sydney). Extremely popular 13-part series made in 1978 at Old Sydney Town, N.S.W. and Geelong, Victoria - set in the period 1798 to 1812(with an award-winning soundtrack album by Jon English and Mario Millo).
