But then she meets the charismatic Carla (Helen McCrory) whose infectious sense of fun proves irresistible. As an intense intimacy grows between them, the two women begin to play a game of fantasy, sharing dreams, desires and dark secrets. When they pick up two young men, sexual jealousy rears its head, and the trust between the two friends is irrevocably damaged. A vicious fight ends with a tragic accident, and leaves Helen returning home to a waking nightmare of guilt and fear.
