Cool MillionFirst Aired in 1972 James Farentino played Jefferson Keyes, a resourceful young man who would solve any problem you had for a million dollars. In other words he was a very high priced private detective. He flew around the country in his own private jet. The episodes were ninety minutes long and alternated with "Banacek" and "Madigan". The show was created by Larry Cohen, who also gave us "Coronet Blue", "Branded", "The Invaders", and "Blue Light". "Cool Million" was another intriguing premise but the execution was only so-so. Roy Huggins, who was executive producer of Farentino's previous series "The Bold Ones", performed the same function here. The first episode got very high ratings but subsequent episodes dropped off. Elizabeth Ashlely had the distinction of once being married to both Jefferson Keyes and Thomas Banacek (George Peppard).
