El HazardFirst Aired in 1995 Alternative Title: Shinpi no Sekai El Hazard Relative Anime: Season 1: El Hazard: The Magnificent World (OVA Series) Season 2: El Hazard: The Magnificent World 2 (OVA Series) Season 3: El Hazard: The Alternate World (OVA Series) Season 4: El Hazard: The Wanderers (TV Series) *(younger characters) OVA Because of an earthquake, a ruins which didn't seem to be part of this world was discovered in the basement of a high school. The president of the student council, Jinnai Katsuhiko, made it look like he was the one who discovered the ruins, as the TV reporters were there. During the TV broadcast, Jinnai's younger sister Nanami appears and tells everyone about Jinnai's dishonest acts. The other members of the student council finally turn against Jinnai, who had controlled them until now. They all want Mizuhara Makoto, who had accidently witnessed one of Jinnai's dishonest deals, to become the next student council president. Makoto had no interest in it, but it was a very dangerous situation for Jinnai. He had always had a complex against Makoto, and tried to set up Makoto into a trap. In the middle of the night, Jinnai called Makoto to the empty school. Just as Makoto was going to get beaten up, time stopped. Makoto was called to the ruins by a strange voice. At the ruins Makoto met the beautiful girl of the ruins. She gave Makoto a message, and sent him to El Hazard. TV Mizuhara Makoto was a 17 year old high school student who liked doing scientific experiments. Jinnai Nanami was an energetic girl who liked Makoto. Jinnai Katsuhiko was the president of the student council, but he was doing a lot of sneaky dealings. He also thought that Makoto was out to get him, as Makoto had beaten him in just about everything that they had done ever since they were little. So Jinnai tried to sabotage Makoto's scientific experiment.. Makoto's experiment started going wild, and created some kind of energy ball which transported Makoto, Jinnai, Nanami, and Fujisawa-sensei to El Hazard. In general the character designs for the TV series is much cuter than the OAVs. Another major difference is that Lune Venus is much younger in the TV series. Trivias El Hazard El Hazard is a different dimension, and different world. It was a world where the alliance countries, centered around Roshutalia, the world that Lune Venus was the princesses of, and the insect people, lead by Queen Diiva, were constantly battling. Roshutalia Kingdom The Roshutalia Kingdom had signed a pact with the various tribes of El Hazard. Furisutarika was the capital city. Empire of Bagurom The Bagurom had created an empire in the lake that divided the world of El Hazard in two. It was a mysterious world. Maldoon In the very far another part of El Hazard, there was a holy mountain called Maldoon. It was not allowed for ordinary people to go there. Maldoon was the place where the three high priests lived. Eye of God This is the legendary final weapon that was in the royal family of the Roshutalia Kingdom. It can only be used when the two princesses of the royal family combine their powers. It had been said that this had been used in the past. Character Profiles Humans Mizuhara Makoto Mizuhara Makoto looks like a weakling, but he will give it his all when things are on the line. His grades are the best, and he was also good at sports, so Jinnai calls him his rival. Makoto was a 17 year old, third year student at Shinonome High School. Jinnai Katsuhiko Jinnai Katsuhiko said that Makoto is his rival. He was the president of the student council at Shinonome high school. He is a egotist and very proud of himself. Jinnai was also sent to El Hazard along with Makoto, but he ended up with the Bagurom. When he got sent to El Hazard, Jinnai got the ability to talk to the Bagurom. The other humans in El Hazard could not speak the Bagurom language. Jinnai Nanami Jinnai Nanami was Katsuhiko's younger sister. She was a lively girl who worked hard at part time jobs. Nanami liked Makoto, but had not expressed her love to him yet. [In the TV series, Nanami was Makoto's girl friend.] Even though she was sent to El Hazard, she had great vitality. She worked at various part time jobs in El Hazard. When the humans got sent to El Hazard, all of them got some supernatural powers. In the OAV series, Nanami got the ability to see through the illusions of the illusionists. In the TV series, Nanami got the ability to talk to the Bagurom. Fujisawa Masamichi Fujisawa Masamichi was a 31 year old history teacher at Shinonome High School, and single. He was a very serious teacher who was always thinking about his students, no matter how bad things become. Fujisawa is a heavy smoker, and drinks a lot. His hobby is mountain climbing. Fujisawa was in his room when Makoto got transported to El Hazard, and he got sent over too. For some reason he has a lot of power in El Hazard, but this power only lasted when he wasn't drunk. El Hazard - Good Guys Lune Venus Lune Venus was the first princess of the Roshutalia Kingdom in El Hazard. She was very serious and very beautiful. She had a younger sister called Fatora, but she was missing. Lune's parents, the King and Queen of Roshutalia, died when she was little, so Lune had to grow up by herself. She had a muppet dragon that she received from her father, and she talked to it to put herself at ease. Fatora (Appearance is not seen on TV) Fatora was a princess of the Roshutalia Kingdom, and was the younger sister of Lune Venus. Fatora had been kidnapped by the illusionists, and was being used to activate the eye of god. Areere Areere loved pretty, little girls. But because of that she caused a lot of trouble. She loved Fatora, the younger princess of Roshutalia, and since Makoto looked like Fatora, she crawled into the bed when Makoto was sleeping. Areere appears as a guide for Makoto and the others. El Hazard - Three Gods Shera Shera Shera Shera was one of the high priests. She is 19 years old, but looks the youngest. Shera Shera was very energetic, boyish, and liked to fight. She had a powerful ESP power, based on fire. Although Shera Shera was only 19, she loved to drink whe she got upset or depressed. Afra Marn Afra Marn was one of the high priests. She is 18 years old, and is a calm person who speaks in Kyoto-ben. She was the most elegant of the three high priests, and she used the power of the wind. Miizu Mishutal Miizu Mishutal was one of the high priests. She is 29 years old, and the leader of the three priests. Miizu was the ojousama type, and was also burikko. But she was very short tempered and had an ESP power attack, based on water. Miizu fell in love with Fujisawa-sensei when she saw him, and wants to marry him. El Hazard - Bad Guys Queen Diiva Queen Diiva is the queen of Bagurom. She has an all mighty control over her underlings. But she thinks Jinnai was someone sent by god, and trusts him. Gares Gares is a guy who was supposed to be engaged to marry Lune Venus. But he was also the one who kidnapped Fatora. Actually Gares was on of the illusionists who was fooling the people of El Hazard. Kiraiya Kiraiya was a female assasin who used illusions to deceive people.
