Kung Fu: The Legend ContinuesFirst Aired in 1993 Kung Fu: The Legend Continues is a sequel, of sorts, to the popular '70s drama, Kung Fu, starring David Carradine. Whereas Kung Fu was set in the early 1900s, this show is set in modern times. Kung Fu: TLC features David Carradine as Kwai Chang Caine's grandson, also named Kwai Chang Caine, who is a Shaolin priest. The show also features Chris Potter as Peter Caine, a police officer and Caine's son. The show usually had plotlines about mystical Shaolin dealings, often mixed with police drama plotlines. The show was sydnicated on the short-lived Primetime Entertainment Network. It was filmed in Toronto and Distributed by Warner Bros. The following is from the opening credits: The grandson of Kwai Chang Caine walks out of the past. "But I want to fight." "Yes. So did your great-grandfather when he was your age." He teaches his son wisdom at a Shaolin temple. An evil force destroyed that temple. Father and son each believed the other had perished. Fifteen years later they were reunited. Now Caine faced new challenges. And his son grew up. "Look, I'm not my father. I don't do kung fu. I'm a cop. That's who I am. That's what I do." "I am Caine. I will help you."
