Reginald Perrin is dead, killed by a falling billboard.

Solicitor Geraldine Hackstraw is given the task of reading, and enforcing, Reggie's rather strange will. He's left his fortune to his wife and friends on condition that they do something outrageously absurd.

Among the beneficiaries are Elizabeth Perrin, Jimmy Anderson, C.J., David Harris-Jones, Doc Morrissey, Joan Greengross, Tom Patterson and Linda Patterson.
