Aussie Queer Eye for the Straight GuyFirst Aired in 2005 Style. Taste. Class. The Fab Five live by this creed. In each episode of Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, a typical straight guy will be transformed from a stylistically challenged guy to a hip and happening renaissance man at the hands of five fabulous gay men, known as the Fab Five. Each of the Fab Five has his own distinct area of expertise – fashion, interior design, grooming, food & wine, and life. Each Straight Guy receives a complete makeover in each Fab category, creating a more stylish, more cultured and more functional straight man. Beginning with the playful deconstruction of the lifestyle of the straight guy subject, and continuing on as a showcase for the hottest styles and hippest lifestyle trends, the show will culminate with a better straight man prepared to handle any challenges the world throws his way. Each episode of Queer Eye For The Straight Guy features a different Straight Guy preparing for a unique event. Whether it's a first date, high school reunion, job interview, meeting the in-laws, special night out or virtually anything that the Straight Guy wants to feel great about himself for, the Fab Five will prepare him specifically for that event and his life beyond it. Queer Eye For The Straight Guy is about building a better person. It's not about changing straight men, it's about bringing out the best in them. Unfortunately, Aussie Queer Eye was a ratings failure for Channel 10. It was axed after only 2 episodes aired. The remaining 3 episodes were broadcast as a special presentation, "Aussie Queer-A-Thon".
