Loonatics: Unleashed

First Aired in 2005

Set seven hundred years into the future, Loonatics introduces six descendants of some very famous figures from the past as they come together to form a brilliant ensemble of superheroes, each boasting special skills, unique abilities and gifted with a firm sense of justice. Alone they are formidable; together they are unstoppable. They're Loonatics. Their beloved ancestors - Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote, the Road Runner, Tasmanian Devil, Lola Bunny - hold a very special place in history. But that was then. This is now. In the year 2772, this super-charged, high-flying action team of a new generation shares the same DNA and sharp-edged wit as their Looney Tunes forefathers ... and that's where the similarities end. Loonatics are one of a kind - and today's heroes from tomorrow! No matter how high the odds are stacked against them, they'll whirl in to save the world without a moment's hesitation. Want to keep the world safe ... call in Loonatics!

Loonatics is about the classic Looney Tunes we all love in the future. The year that the show is set in is 2772. It will revolve around action packed adventures that will leaving you clingy to the couch. Bugs will once again be the leader of this Looney Tunes spin-off.

"Loonatics is part of a wider effort by Warner Bros. to boost classic franchises: A new Batman movie and a remake of "Superman" also are in the works. The potential revenue is massive: If "Loonatics" is a hit on Saturday morning, for example, it is likely to ripple through the company's merchandising, home-video and movie divisions. "That's the ultimate goal of all kids programming," says Mr. Janollari. "If we score, it's a gold mine."

There were many Looney Tunes shows done by The WB and ABC, but none were successful. Few lasted more then 65 episodes. Perhaps Loonatics will revive the classic Looney Tunes again and bring them into viewers homes.

Many are appalled by the thought of another Looney Tunes "rip-off" such as the doomed Baby Looney Tunes. Fans of the classic Looney Tunes have expressed this in many ways. Here is an example of one: A New Bunny.
