100 Centre StreetFirst Aired in 2001 Producer Sidney Lumet's 100 Centre Street follows the proceedings of New York City's arraignment court. The show is aired on the USA cable network. The two-hour premiere of 100 Centre Street opens in Judge Rifkind's night court. When Rifkind (Alan Arkin), a liberal judge who's nickname is "Let-em-Go Joe", releases a petty offender who jumped a subway turnstile, he starts a chain of events that end a rookie cop's life and could end his career. Standing by Rifkind are his wife, Sarah (recurring star Phyllis Newman), and his friend and colleague, Judge Attallah Sims (LaTanya Richardson). Sim's has a firmer view of justice than Rifkind; her nickname is "Attallah-the-Hun." Meanwhile, Assistant District Attorneys Bobby Esposito (Joseph Lyle Taylor) and Cynthia Bennington (Paula Devicq) are getting to know each other. Bobby is Brooklyn working class. Cynthia is uptown money. What she doesn't know about him is that he's about to risk everything he's ever worked for to save his older brother from going to prison on his third drug offense. During show's run it was nominated for an EMMY in 2001 for Outstanding Cinematography for a Multi-Camera Series for Ron Fortunato who is the director of photography - for episode "Things Change".
