Manchester Prep

First Aired in 1999

""Dynasty For Teens", "Anti-Dawson's Creek" or "Anti-Freaks And Geeks" as Roger Kumble likes to describe it. This series had spunk, and fun on how wild teens of the late 90ties, talk, discuss on sex, and drugs.

Warning: The guide contains major spoilers, for those who never seen the series, but you probably haven't seen it.

Manchester Prep was a spin off of 1999's hit movie, Cruel Intentions. Manchester Prep was a prequel to the movie, set in Manchester, New York. Sebastian meets Annette, Cecile, and Kathryn for the first time.

Unfortunately, the Manchester Prep never made it to air. It would of been a fun show to keep up with, as a person who seen the unaired episodes to it. It last episode "Disfunction Junction" really did leave a cliff hanger to what was going to happen next.

Manchester Prep would of probably been on every critic's hate list (some on "Guilty Pleasure" list) BUT... This series was cancelled due to graphic scenes that parents found not suitable in the 8 PM time slot when a episode featured Cecile (Keri Lynn Pratt) orgasming on a horse, Which outraged someone at Fox. They wanted the episode to be "re-tooled" but it was doomed to death.

Needless to say, the orgasm horse scene is in Cruel Intentions 2, the TV Movie that explains events before the feature movie (starring Ryan Philippe, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Reese Witherspoon).

Three complete episodes were made, and most likely their are scripts written, but are unproduced. (If you have them please send it to us! Fans would love to know what happened AFTER "Disfunctin Junction".)

Historically, FOX now has a growing tradition of canceling a show or two, before they make it to air. Keep in mind that atleast two episodes are ordered right after the pilot is picked up by a network at their upfront presentation.

FOX pilots/series picked up but never aired:

1997- 1998 Season:
**"Rewind" (comedy, starring Scott Baio)

1998 - 1999 Season:
**"Hollyweird" (drama, starring Shaun Cassidy)

1999 - 2000 Season:
**"Manchester Prep" (3 episodes made.)

2000 - 2001 Season:
** "Fling" (a.k.a. When I Grow Up) 13 episodes ordered, but production was halted after episode 6 (6 episodes made.)
** "Schimmel" (comedy, starring Robert Schimmel)

2002 - 2003 Season:
**"The Grubbs" (13 episodes made, but show was dumped by the FOX after bad reviews from critics; comedy with Randy Quaid and Carol Kane)
**"The Septuplets" (Word is that they never got past a pilot. About a family drama about their Septuplet teenagers going through life [popular girl, unpopular, geek, hunk, etc.] reportedly at the upfront presentations, a five minute preview was show which made the audience roar, as they described it within the similiar show lines of sleezy show, "The O.C.")

2003 - 2004 Season:
**"The Ortegas"
**"Still Life"
