Mutant XFirst Aired in 2001 "MUTANT X" chronicles the adventures of MUTANT-X, a team of human mutants possessing extraordinary powers as a result of genetic engineering. Like hundreds of other unsuspecting subjects, these new mutants were altered in secret experiments conducted in a covert government project. Realizing that events have spun out of control, the organization that created them is now hunting them down in an urgent "product recall." MUTANT-X's mission is to seek out their fellow new mutants to help them come to terms with their astonishing abilities and protect them from their creators. (From the offical MutantX Website (located at www.mutantx.net). In the first two seasons, the team consisted of: Shalimar Fox (Victoria Pratt), a 'Feral' with cat-like enhanced strength and reflexes. Brennan Mulwray (Victor Webster), a 'Elemental' with the ability to absorb and project electricity, and propel himself with lightning. Emma deLauro (Lauren Lee Smith), a 'Psychic' with the ability to sense and control emotions and fire psychic "force-bolts." Jesse Kilmartin (Forbes March), a 'Molecular' with the ability to increase and decrease his density, meaning he could give himself immunity to physical harm and increased strength, or dematerialize and pass through walls. He later gained the ability to control the density of anything he touched. The team leader and founder is Adam Kane (John Shea), a normal human who helped create the "Mutant X' project. Although he possesses no superhuman abilities, Adam is a genius in the field of genetics, medicine, and computers, and a skilled martial artist. In the third season, Emma was killed and Adam went into hiding after faking his death. Lexa Pierce (Karen Cliche) joined the team. Lexa was an Elemental with the ability to control light, projecting laser beams and bending light around her to become invisible.
